For a span of 13 months in the year 1966, the Mothman terrorized the small West Virginia town of Point Pleasant. Hundreds of sightings flew in of a winged humanoid with the grey, scaly skin and red, glowing eyes lurking about the streets of this small farm town.

His sightings were the basis for the John Keel's classic The Mothman Prophecies, and coincided with the popularity of the new Batman series released at that time. The town has since embraced its villain as their claim-to-fame, and has continued with the tradition of honoring the creature even at this year's 5th annual Mothman Festival.

It has been said that evidence for the Mothman's existence rests in its 'ultra-terrestrial' nature, UFO sightings, Men In Black encounters, and CIA cover-ups. Its mere presence interferes with radio and TV signals, and maybe its truth can be seen somewhere through all that static.

Read a detailed account of some of the incidents related to this 'being'. Decide for yourself....Did this really happen? Or was it Mass Hysteria? You decide.
