 Every Whitsunday for seven years the Venerable Rosa Maria Serio, prioress of the Carmelite convent of Fasano,Italy, was visited
by an extraordinary manifestation of fire. On the first occasion, her nuns saw a ball of fire descend on her. Removing her
robes,they found that the undergarments covering the breast had been burned into the shape of a heart. The same sort of burning
occurred six more times before the saintly womans death in 1725,though the ball of fire was observed only once.
