Of course,Halloweenie has it's superstitions....

Blue Light?
Watch out for ghosts. The belief is that if a candle’s flame turns blue on Halloween night,
a ghost is near.

Husband Search
~According to some tales, if, on Halloween night, a girl puts a sprig of rosemary and a silver coin under her pillow, she will see her future husband in a dream.
~The first person to bite an apple while bobbing for apples will be the first to marry.
~ Peel an apple in a continuous strip. When is falls to the floor, it will reveal the letter of a future husband.
~ Sweep the stack around the base of a corn stack with a broom three times. On the third time around, your future partner will appear or their name will be spoken aloud.
~ To find out your future husband, stand in front of a mirror, light two candles, brush your hair and eat an apple. The ghost of your future husband is supposed to appear in the mirror.
~ Catch a snail on Halloween night and place it on a flat dish. In the morning you will see the first letter of your future sweetheart written in snail's slime.

Bury animal bones or a picture of a loved animal near the doorway to keep ghosts from entering your home on Halloween.

* Light a candle to remember your departed loved ones on Halloween night
* If the flame of a candle goes out on Halloween then you are in the company of a ghost
* People used to lock up their cats on Halloween as an elf could travel on your cats back into your home and create havoc
* In ancient times a person always rang a bell (not a doorbell) which would ward off evil spirits for the entire year
* If you see an Owl diving then he/she is coming to take your soul away
* To see a black cat on Halloween is very good luck for the next year
* To see a white cat on Halloween is very bad luck for the next year

Where did Jack-O-Lanterns originate?

According to Irish legend, there was a miserly old drunkard named Jack who, accepted in neither heaven nor hell, was forced to wander the earth, with a coal from hell stuck in a turnip to light his way.
