These tiny, ephemeral beings have been placed throughout folk-lore and mythical stories alike, properly landing in the
name of 'Fairy-Tales.' Modern day they are depicted as winged females, often possessing great beauty and elegance, but traditionally
Fairies have been said to exist in either gender.
They can also be domestic or wild, depending on whether they dwell in woods or gardens. Despite the location, it is believed
that they almost always live in trees, closely related to the ancient sacred oak worshiped by the Druids.
Though it sounds all fanciful and cheery, Fairies are actually most known for attempting to inhabit the souls of children.
They are said to steal unchristened or unprotected newborns from their rightful parents, and leave a changeling, or carved
wood-piece, in its place.
