Balut
Less than a dollar an egg
Balut is a fertilized duck egg, complete with a partially formed fetus inside. Generally eaten by cracking open the shell
and drinking the fluid broth, the fetus is then seasoned with salt and pepper. These can be commonly found on the streets
of the Philippines and other parts of Southeast Asia.
